Technical Breakdown
This project focuses on the execution of a high-density, large-scale explosion simulated inside a grid-based volumetric fluid solver. The solver parameters were optimized to capture realistic thermal expansion rates, turbulent eddies, and rapid combustion stages.
By outputting dedicated emission, absorption, and scatter channels (VDB channels), the volumetric fire and soot particles interact accurately with the virtual camera's physical exposure and color gamut in Nuke.
